MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL
Look at yourself anew. Re-examine your traits by looking on the inside of your heart. Do you like them? Do other people admire them and speak well of you, as well as your actions? What does your mirror say?
Look deep inside of self. You may have envies, jealousies, animosities, gripes, grudges, unforgiveness, conflict, tension, strife, feelings of inadequacy, suspicion, bitterness, and other traits which make you an undesirable person. These will make you unhappy. They will give you a sour outlook on life. They will suppress your smiles, making you less sensitive, also causing you to lose friends. These traits limit your enjoyment as well as make life miserable for you and others.
You find it unpleasant to live with these traits in others and others find in unpleasant to live with you, but if you cultivate traits that breed a happy outlook with joy and enthusiasm, others will find it a pleasure to live with you and enjoy your company..... They might even listen to what you have to say.
Most folks dislike living with a gripe... just as you do! They like to be around those who are happy, hopeful, pleasant. This spirit of your life, is the most important thing that shows others that you really do care. Most folks don't really care how much you know, they just want to know how much you care!
You love yourself by being lovable, and other folks love you for the very same reason. Develop traits that you would like others to have, then you will find it is easier for them to listen to you and accept you as a lover of others, even if you have differences.
Before any of you say...... Horace, "heed thy own words"....... Let me point out that each and every thought written here was primarily meant for this flawed, bruised, and broken piece of clay....and I have truly started making the necessary applications to my life. I also hope and pray for other folks that I know, that they consider the same course of events, in order to make communicating with each other more enjoyable, especially when speaking and writing from deep convictions, allowing our true motivation be seen by one and all; Our love for one another!
"The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." .... Galatians 5:22-23
