THE DEVIL'S PLAN
His Great Deception Is A Great Success!

The Devil met one of his local subordinates on the street of an American city not long ago, and said to him, "Well, how are things getting along in this town?" For the first time since I've been stationed here," said the sub-devil, "things are looking pretty bleak." "What's the matter?" "See that fellow across the street?" "Yes. What about him?" "Well, in some way he got hold of a grain of real, undiluted, pure, concentrated truth. That grain of truth is like a deadly bomb. If he uses it correctly, he can blow up our whole business here on earth." The Devil looked carefully at the man across the street. "I'll tell you how to handle him," he said. "You tempt him to take that grain of truth and organize it. Make it the basis of any kind of society, lodge or club. Then he'll spend his time running the club, and he won't have time to use the truth against us."

From the last report, I hear that the man yielded to the temptation and that the Devils' plan is working beautifully. The grain of truth, which is the nucleus of the organization which he founded, lies in a glass case unused, in a corner of the mans' office in the building which the new organization erected. Some day the man who found it may take it out and use it; but not to worry, he's too busy taking care of the organization to do any extra work as a individual."

PS: Me thinks the real application is too obvious to miss, but in case you did, just look around at the local church in which you are a member and see if the "unit" is more important than the lowly "individual" or not.... Christ himself left the "flock" to tend and care for the "one", it was not the other way around. The only way the "group status" will be pleasing to God, is for all the units, individual children of God,  to start walking and talking as if we belong to His Family! If we put all our time and talents and energy into maintaining the status quo and concern ourselves with quotas, agendas, nickels & noses, hoot-nanies, concerts and our cherished "public image", we will still be debating, fighting, struggling over issues of little import when the Lord comes to take us to our eternal home in heaven..... Think about it!!!!
